Born : Bombay, India, 60’s
Educated: Bombay, India
Warren learned to play violin at the age of 5 and joined the church choir aged 7. Inspired by the Beatles and instrumental rock band the Ventures, aged 12, he dedicated himself to learning the guitar. His heroes were Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Richie Blackmore, Dave Gilmour, Brian May, Dave Murray, and Adrian Smith and several talented local musicians. He joined a function band doing weddings and church functions and then formed his own Heavy Metal band ‘High Vior’ with his brother Jordan on bass and his mate Wilfrid on drums. They covered Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and toured colleges and top venues in India learning their craft.
Aged 19 Warren moved to Abu Dhabi in the U.A.E. and formed ‘Nightshift’. They had residencies and gigs at all the U.A.E. prestige venues for the next 20 years. In this period Warren studied studio craft – recording, programming and producing and gradually mastered these skills. He met David Wilson, who plays the drums a bit and Patricia Aspden- an immensely talented singer and multi- instrumentalist when their band Tuesday Blues took up a residency at the Dana Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Patricia stayed on in the U.A.E. working with Warren for several years. They got married and began to write their first Gospel album. Their work can be heard best on their website www.atoneuk.com
Footnote; David says: ‘Warren and I have a love/hate relationship. I love him and he hates me!’
